about me

i’m john bamberger, but most people online know me as jbam. i’ve been making content since i was 10. it started with uploading fortnite clips to youtube and turned into an interest in pretty much everything around creating: branding, editing, marketing, and building something of my own. even when my videos barely got views, the idea that the next one could go viral kept me going.

eventually, i moved away from competitive fortnite videos and started making skits and more entertainment-focused content. i really enjoyed that side of it. i taught myself how to edit, make thumbnails, and do whatever else the videos needed. there were plenty of nights where i was up until 3 am learning photoshop or vegas pro and trying something new. i’ve now got over 5 years of experience in both design and video editing, all self-taught.

as i got more involved in the fortnite community, i started working with bigger creators. i made thumbnails, helped with content, and appeared in videos. that was the first time i turned something i’d learned online into real income, and it made me realize there was a lot more i could do with it.

in 2021, i started a fortnite tiktok account and posted every single day. several videos went viral, a couple passed a million views, and the page eventually grew to over 90k followers and 6 million total views. i also earned over $5k through epic games’ support-a-creator program. that showed me what could happen when i stuck with an account and kept posting.

later that year, i got into nft and crypto marketing on twitter. i worked with projects and agencies on promotional campaigns, sometimes making hundreds of dollars per post and running multiple campaigns a day while i was still in school. it was my first time making that kind of money online, and i learned a lot about marketing and how online businesses work.

when the nft market crashed, i started focusing on trading. i found options in early 2023 and went into it with the wrong mindset. over nearly 10 months, i lost more than $35k while struggling with ego and discipline. things started changing when i accepted that losses were part of it and focused on data and managing risk. since then, i’ve made multiple six figures through options and futures trading. getting there took a lot of mistakes and a different approach.

in october 2025, i started my first roblox youtube channel. i posted 3+ shorts a day, and after 33 days it had passed 100k subscribers and 10 million views. that earned me my first youtube play button. i also started a tiktok around my car and my love for cars, growing it to over 6k followers and 6 million views. it gave me somewhere to share my own opinions, hot takes, and more of my personality.

at the start of 2026, i launched a trading mentorship and community to teach the strategies i was using. i grew the community to over 500 members, and students collectively made tens of thousands of dollars. around the same time, i started a trading youtube channel that passed 1k subscribers in under two months.

at this point, i’m confident in my ability to start a fresh channel and figure out what works. i’ve spent years learning pacing, retention, scripting, hooks, design, and editing across completely different niches. i like being able to do a bit of everything, and now i bring all of that into the content i make for brands too.
